My Travel Essentials

I love to travel so there’s no time for feeling low when you’re out there making memories. Keeping my gut health in check, energy levels up, my immune system strong, and mind clear ensures I can fully enjoy every experience. Here are my naturopathic travel essentials.

Probiotics

A travel must-have. Whether I use a multi-strain probiotic or just Saccharomyces Boulardii (SB), probiotics are essential for protecting my gut when encountering unfamiliar foods and water. Probiotics help guard against unwanted bacteria, viruses, and parasites, keeping your digestive system in balance while abroad.

Antimicrobial Herbs

I travel with a blend of powerful herbs such as pomegranate, nigella, wormwood, black walnut, and golden seal. These are great for addressing any pathogens or viruses you might encounter, though they aren’t meant for everyday use.

Zinc

I always bring zinc for immune support. It’s a personal necessity for me, but it’s an excellent immune booster for anyone, especially when your body is exposed to new environments.

Immune Herbs

Andrographis, astragalus, and echinacea to strengthen my immune system. These herbs have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making them essential a resilient body.

N-Acetylcysteine (NAC)

A precursor to glutathione, the body’s master antioxidant, NAC is perfect for supporting immune function and upper respiratory health.

Activated Charcoal

It helps bind toxins and relieves digestive discomfort, ensuring you feel great during your adventures.

Lavender Essential Oil

Perfect for relaxation and sleep, lavender oil helps me wind down after a long day or adjust to new time zones. It’s an essential part of my travel routine.

Water & Electrolytes

Hydration is critical, but it’s not just about drinking water. I always travel with electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium to stay balanced, particularly in climates where dehydration is a risk. This helps prevent fatigue, headaches, and muscle cramps while keeping energy levels steady.

Remember that most of these items need to be prescribed by a naturopath or health practitioner. Personalising your supplements is essential since what works for one person may not work for another.
